Winter Blues

All I can think about is Spring, when is it coming? What colors can I wear? Lately I’ve been noticing some of the bloggers I follow are wearing bright/vibrant colors and all I want to do is jump right in to April Showers. But for now, I have to stick to my daily routine… and wear my Winter Blues.

Winter Summer Here I Come

Today was a balmy 45 degrees, it was sunny, it was warm. I didn’t even have to wear a coat! If you follow me on twitter, then you might have seen my link to the Refinery29 article on how to wear shorts in the winter. Here’s my version!

This week has been going by pretty quickly. I need to pick up my own productivity to really enjoy this weekend guilt free. I don’t want to feel like I wasted a week and was a glutton all weekend :[

Party Skirt

This is what I wore last Saturday night for a night out on the town. I’d like to say that Kendi’s tip on shopping as part of her Create a Working Closet Series on window shopping to get the best price is so true. I was eying this sequined skirt on JCrew’s website for weeks (it was sitting at a pricey $128 online), and then one day I hit up the store and it was marked down + an additional 40% off which made it about $54.00. I bought it immediately. Waiting for that item you want to go on sale can be completely worth it, especially if you can try it on at the store to make sure it’s a match made in heaven!

How I Wore It II

This is installation deux of how I wore my Hallelu pieces! Yesterday I wore one of my tops I got 🙂

I’m happy to say my Monday was successful! Got some important things checked off my to-do list. Plus I made wings and tater tots for dinner! Tonight’s dinner is going to be lasagna… jealous?

Also, I had to wear my Bears shirt today since I didn’t represent all weekend (they had a bye week). This weekend the Bears are going to play the Seahawks in the playoffs, I’m excited becuase I didn’t expect my hometown team to get this far!

Also, today is 1.11.11 are you spooked or excited?! I think I’m excited. What a simple day…

How I Wore It

This past weekend I decided to wear one of the items I got from my Hallelu giveaway! I wore this burnt rust colored top from tree people!

I really enjoy how soft and comfortable this top is! Comfort is really key in my style. This weekend has been pretty relaxing. I cooked a bit and got to spent some quality time with the bf and our friends. I’m still a little shocked that the Colts and the Saints lost on Saturday. I’m a huge Drew Brees fan because he went to my alma mater, Boiler Up!

Well, this week should be full of job hunting, friends and cooking. Not really bad priorities in my opinion. What are your priorities this week? Hope everyone is having a great start to their week.
