Hump Day Blues

I just got back from Chicago and I’m feeling a bit overwhelmed. Before I left for the Midwest for the Holiday, my temporary position ended and now I’m on the job hunt again. It’s a little scary not knowing what’s going to happen next. But I’m hopeful and excited for the opportunity to do something new. Now, I’m going to be as diligent as possible in job hunting and being careful with my money. Which means, no more shopping.

Here’s a little collage of things I’m lusting for from Anthropologie. Online window shopping is motivating 🙂

Anthropologie and What is beautiful?

So today I happened to find that there is an Anthropologie store, 5 minutes from where I currently reside. How did I never notice this? Is it new?! Well, I’m excited about it. I get their catalog in the mail, and peruse their website every so often. But, I never get anything online because I’d rather go into the store.

Their shop is always decorated in a very quirky way, and their clothes are beautiful, the draping, the colors, the shapes the dresses take… I could go on and on. But I decided to just show you my favorite things they have right now.

their clothes are so pretty! many of their pieces are created by their own designers… they also have very pretty and femme lingerie pieces.

my favorite things to look at though are their aprons!!  aren’t they adorable? I’d love to get one someday =)

Most recently I saw a book they had that I liked, and lucky for me, my boyfriend gave it to me as a gift.

It’s really cool, I love maps, and I’m very pro public transit.. this book compiles maps of rail systems all over the world! It’s such an interesting read.

For now, I shall continue to browse online, but I’m sure I will end up in the store sometime in the very near future.

jewelry and the search for the great pieces

So, I have to admit I was a Tiffanys girl in high school and college. I loved those blue boxes and all I ever wanted was something from Tiffanys if it was my birthday. I do still enjoy their designs, but I’m going to have to say that absolutely everybody has the same elsa peretti heart necklace I have. Yes I love it, and I wear it everyday, it was given to me by people close to me and I wear it more than anything. But, everyone and their mom has one!

I’ve been trending to just simply not wear any jewelry because well, nothing appeals to me anymore. But, lately I’ve noticed bib necklaces are popping up here and there. And how can I not love it? They’re statement pieces, but my favorite thing is that you can wear it over a simple t-shirt to dress your outfit up more. They all have tie closures, and are so beautiful, if I only I knew how to make my own! For now I am going to just have to lust..

Can I have them all?
