How I Wore It II

{Gifted shirt, Madewell Scarf,  Necklace c/o Hallelu, BDG jeans, dSW boots, tiffany bracelets}

This is installation deux of how I wore my Hallelu pieces! Yesterday I wore one of my tops I got 🙂

I’m happy to say my Monday was successful! Got some important things checked off my to-do list. Plus I made wings and tater tots for dinner! Tonight’s dinner is going to be lasagna… jealous?

Also, I had to wear my Bears shirt today since I didn’t represent all weekend (they had a bye week). This weekend the Bears are going to play the Seahawks in the playoffs, I’m excited becuase I didn’t expect my hometown team to get this far!

Also, today is 1.11.11 are you spooked or excited?! I think I’m excited. What a simple day…

BBM Update!

I downloaded the new blackberry messenger and I must say I love it!! I’ve used it a bit before, but lately my contact list has been growing which is why this new update comes just in time for me to use it!

+ A new way to add contacts. Before this update, you had to send people your pin, have them add you and vice versa. Most people I know don’t know their pin, and you find it by simply typing in mypin and it shows up. NOW, bbm has made bar codes for everybody all you do to add another contact is scan someone else’s barcode whether its on a computer screen or another blackberry and voila! You have just requested a new contact.

+Avatars. I think Avatars are a great way to personalize your identity, just like buddy icons on aim way back when everybody was on aim, or nowadays on google chat. My avatar is currently a Chicago Bears bear logo that I drew. Go Bears!

– the Recent Updates tab is pretty detailed. It is nice to tell me who has accepted my contact request, but I don’t care about every time somebody has changed their picture of the way their name is spelled..

I could think about the plus and minus stuff more but those are really the only things that come to mind. Bbm is a really easy way to quickly chat with someone and keep the conversation in one place. If only everybody had blackberrys so we could all bbm!

*You can download the blackberry messenger update through the blackberry world application.

Since I am from Chicago, I’ll be posted up by the TV shortly watching the Bears game. It’s funny how growing up I hated football because my High School team never won any games, plus I played volleyball so I had games or practice when their games were. I just never got into it. Once I started college, I was thrown deep into football culture, I went to a Big 10 school (Purdue) and my town, was a football town. There’s nothing like, getting pumped for the game by dressing up in Halloween costumes and getting drunk at 7am for Breakfast Club at Where Else? trying to get on College Game Day, when the rest of the school had the same idea, having the Boilermaker Special make its rounds and being woken up on game day mornings to the toot toot of the train, plus having Drew Brees as a Purdue Alum doesn’t hurt either.

During college I was all about Big 10 football, and the Bears (of course). But, I wasn’t open to the idea of other schools having better programs than us, wasn’t into hearing about how great the Patriots were. Since leaving school I’ve had to admit the SEC is the best (when I was in Atlanta and airport security wouldn’t let me through without an ID) and also be drawn into watching the Red Raiders (in 2008) on their fairy tale run. Even though I am opening up to other teams and their talents, when it comes to pro sports, I can never root for another team, it’s Bears, Bulls, Sox and Blackhawks for me.  Anyone else have hometown pride?

PS I’ve got a couple things on ebay that are ending today. Check it out? (it’s really for girls only!)
