The Big Chill

Apparently it’s so “cold” here in DC because we have a Canadian front down here? Whaaa? Yeah that’s right… Anyways I need to bring my warm snow boots from Chicago back here to keep these toes warm asap! Is it cold where you are too?

I don’t know about you but I am really looking forward to next week! It will be Christmas and I will be heading home to Chicago once again! I’m so excited!! We are going to be road tripping back, I just hope it doesn’t snow! 😦 Anyone else have plans for Christmas?

Sweetly Ever After

I thought I would try for something soft this weekend. I wore this Sunday night, it was so depressing and rainy out I thought the ruffles would cheer me up a bit.

I just wanted to say thank you for stopping by to my readers, I really appreciate the comments! I look forward to looking at your blogs too!

Happy Monday!

Capture This

I got a new camera lens today! UPS is so fast! 🙂 I love it. Anyways, I finally got a second lens for my camera! It’s not like I have even had it for that long… probably about 4 weeks, but I thought it was time to add to my camera accessories!

I got the Nikkor 50mm 1:1.8D lens. I’m pretty happy with the results so far. Plus, it’s a bit less bulky than the kit lens, which is cool too but not when I wanna take it out on the town all day and play tourist in my new stomping grounds…

This is what I wore tonight to have drinks with friends. My outfit I wore to work was waaay to cold… I’ll have to wear it again in the future and document it. 🙂

Charmed

This is a bit late in posting, I meant to post it when I wore this (Thursday) but I fell asleep waay early and didn’t get a chance til now! Anyways onto the photos!

I wore a LOFT cardigan, dress from Need Supply, tights from target, and boots from Steve Madden.

These past few days have been exceptionally colder, I guess winter is coming to DC! I am trying to dress accordingly, and trying to layer appropriately. It’s challenging because I don’t have  car so I need to dress for comfort and warmth! I’ve been trained well by the bitter Chicago wind, so I think I can brave the DC cold. 🙂

How do you guys stay warm in the winter and still look cute?

Ping Pong Dim Sum

I have found a spot in DC that serves Dim Sum worthy of my tastebuds!

I didn’t think I’d be able to find a place that made dim sum that I would really truly enjoy, lo and behold Ping Pong Dim Sum filled that void. If you live in DC or are going to visit the DC area, AND you like Dim Sum, you should give Ping Pong a try. It’s traditional dim sum (food, there are no carts) and a little high end mixed together. The food is not cheap, but it’s properly priced for the tasty factor + presentation.

We ordered shu mai, har gao, char siu bun, chicken puff and traditional sticky rice. In the second to last photo the shu mai was SO hot it steamed up the lens of my camera! I’m so glad we found this place, I was wondering if I would have to wait til I went home to Chicago or up to NYC to have dim sum again.
