dog day afternoon

Earlier this week, I spent a few days dog sitting. I’m not too fond of little dogs, but after spending so much time with these little Yorkies I couldn’t help but love them more and more.

I do love dogs, but these two little Yorkies have captured my heart these last few years. Their names are Butzy and Emma, they’re my bf’s sisters dogs. They’re sisters! They don’t really act like dogs… more like little toddlers. They’re quiet but they like to play and hang out with everyone. Much of the time you can find them on a soft surface napping.

Butzy!

These girls are definitely in my top 3 favorite dogs!

Farmer’s Market

I’ve been too a ton of farmers markets in Chicago, and a few in other states, but my favorite farmer’s market has to be the one in Bloomington, Indiana. The produce is amazing, and there is a kind of ambiance I don’t get to enjoy at the Chicago farmers markets. There is great produce, we got corn on the cob from Kroger (terrible) and then got it at the farmers market (amazing!),  just the smell of it, so sweet, was heaven to my taste buds. I went last week and we got corn on the cob, tomatoes, goat cheese, russet potatoes, ribs, peach jam, and golden delicious apples. Everything was absolutely delicious and I especially enjoyed the goat cheese and potatoes!

What I like about the Bloomington farmer’s market more than others is the atmosphere, everybody is super friendly from the other people shopping to the farmers themselves, there are always some adorable pups being walked (and a couple that you can adopt!), plus the live music at different corners of the market. If you’re ever in Bloomington on a Saturday morning, you have to check it out.

Reasons why you should go to farmers markets:

  • produce is fresh from the farm
